Hi, my name is Mandy Jo Smith. I am the owner of Solpets. Solpets is a free virtual pet site I started when I was in high school and worked on/off throughout the years. Solpets became a idea of mine because I wanted a 100% free and ad-free virtual pet site with beautiful art work. I came up with the name because "Sol" means "Sun" in Spanish. I like road trips, baking, and being outdoors around nature. In my free time I am most likely programming on Solpets, eating cookie dough . . or watching TV. Right now it is me and my 2 cats Tigger (boy) and Ruby (girl). They like to chase each other around the house and drive me nuts. My first concert I am proud to say was Blink-182, My Chemical Romance and Neon Trees on September 8, 2011 in Des Moines, IA. My first Vans Warped Tour was on July 8, 2012 in Shakopee, MN. I used to go to a lot of concerts. Covid really changed that. I am on this journey to visit all 50 states. So far I have been to 28 out of 50 with the requirement being I must do at least 1 thing in the state such as a attraction or eating at a restaurant. Within the last couple years I also started trying to go visit all the national parks. I have been to 10 out of 63 national parks (some of them multiple times). State parks are also really great, but there is way to many to make that a goal. Tennessee has some great ones.
